MIDDLE FIELDS – 2 COMMON CRANE flew in from N over Peatworks and dropped onto the fields (John Robinson)

THREAT TO ALL ENVIRONMENTAL LEGISLATION AND DEMOCRACY IN GENERAL

Day of Action against TTIP in towns and cities across the UK on Saturday 12th July. Launched by WDM, it is being supported in Sheffield by numerous organisations including the Green Party, Peoples’ Assembly and 38 Degrees amongst many others.

There is also a rally on the Town Hall steps at 12 noon on 12th July with stalls, speakers, leaflets etc. 
 
TTIP (Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership) is a deal currently being negotiated between USA and EU. The TTIP will give corporations the right to sue governments if their legislation causes them to lose money, which will inevitably lead to governments backing down and withdrawing the legislation however important it may be.
It has been dubbed the Big BAD Law (Business Against Democracy). Watch this YouTube clip.
