POOR PIECE Morning – 45 Pink-footed Geese N, 6 Song Thrush and 15 Redwing (MP)

PRISON LAKESMorning – 2 Fieldfare and 2 Chiffchaff heard (MP)

LINDHOLME VILLAGE – 1 Grey Wagtail (MP)

Saturday 18/10/14,

PACKARDS SOUTHlate afternoon/early evening – 215 Pink-footed Geese E, 1 MERLIN and 1 Peregrine, 1 Kingfisher, 8 Song Thrush, 22 Redwing, 40 Starling (MP)

Friday 17/10/14

PACKARDS SOUTH AND BOSTON PARK08.30-14.30 – 70 Meadow Pipits + a further 115 in small groups S, 2 Tree Sparrow S over open moorland, several groups of Starlings W totalling 3-400, 1 Peregrine and 1 MERLINCurlew heard. 26 Skylark, 1 Siskin, 11 Redpoll, 6 Yellowhammer, 40 Reed Bunting, 2 Kestrel, 2 Sparrowhawk, 8 Buzzard. A search of favoured thrush haunts produced 32 Blackbird, 7 Song Thrush and 42 Redwing, Robins very evident with 31 either seen or heard, 6 Chiffchaff likewise, 6+ Bullfinch, c.30 Goldcrest, 12 Goldfinch, c.20 chaffinch and 1 Water Rail heard (MP).
