ETHEL MOOR – 3 BEWICK’S SWAN, 1 Cormorant S, 1 Jay, 9 Mallard, 16 Teal, 3 Shoveler, 38 Whooper Swan , 1 WOODCOCK definitely different to the Island bird below (Col Neale and Chris Robinson). The swans arrived from Ellerholme Farm direction so definitely to roost (Mark Lynes)

PRISON LAKES (08.30- 09.15) – 2p Canada Geese, 1p Coot, 18 Mallard, 1p Tufted Duck, 1p Greylag Geese, 11 Teal, 1 Cormorant. 5 Greylag Geese flew S. Also present, 2 Reed Bunting, 3 Yellowhammer and a Linnet singing. At 08.57 a MERLIN went E to W over the dog compound (Mark Paine)

TEN ACRE LAKE (09.30 – 10.30) – 8 Cormarant, 55 Wigeon, 2 Little Grebe, 1p Great Crested Grebe, 1p Tufted Duck, 1 Grey Heron, 1pr Coot, 14 Mallard, displaying Lapwing in field to the N, Curlew flew over (Mark Paine, Col Neale and Mark Lynes)

STARCH POND (afternoon) – 6 Tufted Duck, 2 Moorhen, 1 WOODCOCK. Also present, 6 Redwing, 140 Fieldfare, 22 Starling (Mark Paine)
