PACKARDS – Morning/Afternoon – 1 Marsh Harrier, c.6 Buzzard, 2 Kestrel, 3 HOBBY, 3 Oystercatcher, 1 TEMMINCK’S STINT (JW and later by JR) the 150th species for the Moor year list; 1 Golden Plover W, 2 RUFF E, 46+ Ringed Plover, 17+ Dunlin, 2 LRP, 1 WHIMBREL E, 3 Redshank, 3 WOOD SANDPIPER E when the 2 below were still known to be present 1 CUCKOO (John Wozencroft, Chip (T) Rhodes, Dave Hursthouse, John Robinson, Chris Robinson, Tina Langford and Dennis Woods)
NEW PORTERS – Morning/Early afternoon – 2+ WOOD SANDPIPER (TR) these were still present at the time that the 3 birds flew E over Packards, 4 Ringed Plover, 2 Dunlin, 1 Redshank, 1 WHIMBREL heard in flight later in day than one above, no sign of yesterday’s Sanderling which indicates some of yesterday’s waders have moved out as Moors were thoroughly searched today (John Robinson, Chip (T) Rhodes, John Wozencroft, Dave Hursthouse)
PRISON LAKES – Late afternoon – 1s Lesser Whitethroat and 1 Garden Warbler (Chris Robinson)
